Annual Dinner 2004 Back again to the Chequers at Ugley.  Numbers were down by about 25% on last year.  Were we too soon after Christsmas, or is the venue not to some peoples liking, or just the laws according to Sod.  If you want to comment tell Clare or any other committee member, or send a message via our message page.  If you don't put your name we won't know who it came from. In spite of the reduced numbers a good time was had by all, or if they didn't they didn't tell me.  Nick Mahoney was voted as Strider of the Year, but couldn't be there because of family matters, so we will present it to him next club night.  The Fisher family had a good share of the prizes.  Diane for the lucky program draw and Neville for the caption competition.  Frank Haynes won the Summer League prize for the second year.  The Chairman's speech was mercifully short and as confused as usual.  Peter on the other hand had researched his, and his clues about the Strider of the Year left few guessing. Thank U's to:  Clare for her first class organisation once again, and her cartoons for Nick (what a star).   No Andrea to take the pictures so they're down to me this year.
