Lode Muddy Marvel 5.2m 15 March 2009 John Howe reports: I ran the Lode Muddy Marvel 5m (actual distance 5.2m). My time was 51:00 for 5 mile and and 53:02 for the complete run. The only marvel about the mud was there was only a few metres that you couldn't dodge but the route has the potential to be very muddy. It is all on paths and tracks except for a few hundred metres on very quite road. With no mud it is a very pleasant run and the pre and post race catering is excellent. Being the "one and only" again I got a bottle of sparkling wine of my effort. All the prizes were wine and Easter chocolate for the fun run winners.
