Liver Hill Fell Race 5m 800ft ascent

31 March 2009

Steve White reports:

Liver Hill is a low key fun event to celebrate the arrival of the longer evenings.

The route is a straight up and straight back down affair, which allows you to admire the speed of the faster runners as they descend whilst you wait at the various stiles for them to pass.

Coming 2 days after the Edale Skyline my legs felt a bit heavy, but nevertheless a lovely sunny evening and a friendly atmosphere made it very worthwhile, not to mention the pint of Guinness afterwards.

The cost of the race was a credit crunch beating £0 with a creme egg awarded to all finishers. The instant results sheet was also impressive.
