Benfleet 15m Nigel Coates reports: This is a 15 mile off road race from a school in Benfleet (famous past pupil - Dean Macey) on Canvey Island. The route includes running along the sea wall in both directions, and crossing Hadleigh Downs. It was a very muddy race in which good off road shoes were essential. The rain held off for most of the race, and the wind was not as strong as last year, however some of the puddles were deep, better suited to ducks. Good New Balance technical tee shirt was the prize for finishing. Crispin Bloomfield won easily.
