St Levan 10k

13 August 2010

Nigel Coates reports:

If on holiday in Cornwall in August do try and run the St Levan 10k road race.

This is advertised as mainland Britain's most westerly road race and takes place on a Friday evening in the middle of August. It attracts a field around a 100 runners, made up of local club runners and other runners down on holiday in Cornwall. Entry on the day was very easy and appeared to be the norm.

The route is one lap on very quiet roads, just a mile or so from Land End. It was a lovely sunny evening this year which made the very undulating and scenic route very enjoyable.

On a quirky note, it is the only 10k I have done that used mile markers rather than km ones.
