Dunstable Downs 20m Trail Race

12 September 2010

Gavin Long reports:

It was another one of those “no route markers, no marshals” type of races with 3 sheets of instructions and a map to navigate with, although it’s really not as daunting as it sounds.

I’ve now completed this race on three occasions and I’d strongly recommend it as a LSR for those looking towards an autumn marathon next year. The area is surprisingly scenic and the route had plenty of undulations and varying terrain to keep you interested.

I am indebted to Paul, who sacrificed his own run to plod along with me for the first 15 miles. His company was most welcome.
