One2Go Trail Marathon (Lee Valley) 10 September 2011 Gavin Long reports: This has been a series of marathons counting down to the Olympics. This year's route took us up to the impressive White Water venue at Waltham Cross, which will host the canoe and kayaking events in 2012. We then headed back down the canal towpath to finish next to the main Olympic Stadium. I did their first race, the Five2Go, back in 2007, and the improvements and building work in the area are staggering. Even the Hackney Marshes football pitches have been built a brand new, multi-million pound complex.
